Riverside, CA – January 6, 202 – The ICSUB-8 In-Ceiling subwoofer is only visible as a small in-ceiling speaker. The powerful 8” subwoofer remains hidden from view behind the ceiling. Many rooms that need bass often go without it as there is no practical way to add a floor or even an in-wall subwoofer without taking up valuable space. The ICSUB-8 ingeniously uses the wealth of space in the ceiling to solve the dilemma. The clever design is comprised of an 8” woofer in a wood cabinet featuring a bandpass design. It is vented into the room via a flexible tube attached to an in-ceiling speaker grill that is the size of a 4” ceiling speaker. The flexibility of the design and mounting system can accommodate a variety of installations.
Performance and Ease of Installation
The subwoofer features a frequency response of 40-250 Hz (+/- 3db) and has a rated power of 150w RMS. It pairs perfectly with other TDG Audio speakers and can be used with TDG Audio amplifiers such as the VITRU4 or any suitable subwoofer amplifier.
The subwoofer ships with all the items needed for easy installation. The included pre-construction bracket can be mounted ahead of time and the frame and grill assembly can be mounted once the ceiling is finished. The flexible vent allows both the cabinet and the grill to be mounted independent of one another to the perfect location. Like all TDG Audio speakers it features a Lifetime Warranty.
